Body Condition: This car is in excellent order throughout, but not Concours. It has been enjoyed, in everyday use. It is free of visible corrosion, dents, rust or obvious repairs. A true representation of the
Series II Morris Minor. The paint work has some stone chips and a slight orange peel effect.
The chrome work is complete and undamaged.
Modifications: (To improved the
reliability of the car, but in keeping with its character.)
the addition of the later version park/turn lamps, replacing the original front park lamps.
The rear turn lamp has been incorporated with the stop tail lamp which is still
covered with original matching glass covers.
The original semaphore arms direction indicators are still fitted
and complete, in
perfect working condition.
The Interior: The Seats have been recovered in black, using
the original pattern. The front seat backs, have been recovered by using the original horse hair pads, in order to retain the original
padded collar shape and look. Carpets have been replaced according to the correct original style
but are showing some wear and use.
The hood is complete and in good condition. It has both sewn and bonded
joints, and is wind and water proof. Sun visor on left hand side needs recovering. Dash board is in very good condition
(see picture). Fitted with stereo Radio/cassette player, Smiths fan heater, Temperature gauge, No seat belts, Hood cover.
The Engine Bay:
The engine is clean and runs well.
Does need to have the valve guide / seals replace soon. Oil pressure in excess of 40lbs.
The engine sounds strong and healthy.

Upgraded engine, gearbox and differential from 850 Over head valve to later 950.
Timing chain cover replaced the felt seal, with later cover that has a rubber seal.
Head from a Morris 1100, with better valves, guides and seats.
Larger carburetor and manifold from a Morris 1100 with a better choke system.
The Underbody:
Signs of scrapes and chipping.
Some very minor oil leaks.
Exhaust system complete and modified to 1.5”
Roadworthy suspension parts.
Tyres of the correct size and type, in as/new condition.

Complete differential housing, ratio, stub axles, hubs, rims and caps changed in keeping with
the much improved 950 over head valve motor/gearbox upgrade.

Comes with complete spare motor, gearbox, differential, each body panel.

Original 1953 Morris Minor sales brochure.
Complete original tool kit.
